Admission for Freshman & Transfer

Please visit UNT’s Admissions webpage to view application requirements and deadlines and to apply for admission. There is no separate application or additional requirements for admission to the College of Engineering at this time.

Please note that strong math skills are a necessity for engineering students. We urge high school students interested in engineering to take math courses during their senior year in order to keep their math skills in good practice. The math requirements for our programs begin with Calculus I. We strongly recommend that new students enter the program ready to take math courses at the Pre-calculus level. New students without previous college math credit or AP credit will be required to take a math placement test at orientation.

Admission for Second Baccalaureate

Students wishing to pursue a second bachelor’s degree must meet the same GPA requirement as graduate applicants and apply for admission as graduate students. Please visit the Toulouse School of Graduate Studies for more information on admissions standards.

If your first bachelor’s degree was earned outside of the United States, you should also visit International Admissions for information. There is no separate application or additional requirements for admission to the College of Engineering at this time.
