Undergraduate Student Advising

The Engineering Advising office provides services for undergraduate and undergraduate prospective students at the University of North Texas. The office is located in Hickory Hall , Room 120. Hickory Hall is located on 1417 W. Hickory Street and Avenue B, next to the Auditorium Building. Advising is also available at the North Texas Research Park in the Office of the Dean.

Undergraduate and undergraduate prospective students also receive advising through departmental advisors. The departmental faculty advisors will provide advising in the area of specialty, department requirements and initiation of degree audits. The completion and final approval of degree audits is with the Dean through the Advising office.

Advisors and Counselors assist students through support activities such as:

• New Student Orientations
• Assistance with registration issues
• Choosing a major and/or minor
• Clarification of degree requirements
• Clarification of university and college policies & procedures
• Assistance for university services such as tutoring & mentoring, financial aid & scholarships, disability accommodation, job-hunting & co-op education
• Preparing degree audits
• Filing for graduation

• Mondays from 11:00am to 12:00pm
• Tuesdays from 2:00pm to 3:00pm
• Wednesdays from 2:00pm to 3:00pm
• Thursdays from 11:00am to 12:00pm
